Arthur Ashe Stadium is part of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center and
is the main stadium of the U S Open Tennis Tournament.
It was built in 1975 as an open air stadium to replace the Louis Armstrong Stadium.
A retractable roof was added in 2016 enabling the games to be played no matter what the weather conditions.
